Guiding Principles
- All students shall have access to a school counselor who advocates for their academic, career and social/emotional needs.
- Students learn about their personal value and potential to contribute to society through a variety of programs and opportunities at school.

Counselor Recommendation Letter Requests
Students needing a Counselor Recommendation letter for college admission/scholarship/employment/etc. may do so by completing the form below and turning it in to the Counseling Office at SHS. Please allow 7-10 days for processing. Find the PDF for the request here: Request for Counselor Recommendation.
Off Campus Request (Juniors and Seniors)
If you are requesting to have a partial schedule with any off campus periods, please complete this form and return it to your counselor (drop off, scan or photo and then email). This decision is made through a discussion with your counselor and approval of your parents or guardians and requires their signatures. Juniors and seniors must be on track to graduate to be considered for an off campus option. If you have any questions about off campus options, please email your counselor.
SAT and ACT Testing
Students must register online. These test are NOT offered at Stayton High School. If you or your student qualify for Free/Reduced Lunch, you may be eligible for a fee waiver for these tests. Please speak to your counselor about how to obtain one.
